  1. Yes, yes, yes! I love apples so much, too. But not Red Delic’ either. Hmm, interesting…

Apples are definitely one of my favs’ for hot cereal (and Greek yogurt).

I have a question- Did you try your recipe with soymilk in lieu of the water? I see the splash of milk, but I had to ask since I typically only use milk with my oatmeal. I wondered if you didn’t have any positive results when doing so.

That said, if you do end up getting an ice cream maker (Andrea has one and swears by it) please do share the outcome of Apple Cinnamon ice cream. It simply sounds delightful.

If you didn’t see the article about cooking with apples last fall in Yankee Magazine, you have to check it out. The Orchard Applesauce is simply amazing!

Have a safe weekend. If you need to evacuate to the Western half of the state, give me a call! :0)

Hi Carrie and fellow Red Delish hater! If I’m making oatmeal stovetop, I always cook it with water and add a splash of milk (typically soymilk, but this time I used almond milk). I don’t think I’ve ever cooked it stovetop with just milk, come to think of it. Sometimes in the microwave I’ll do half water, half milk.

I think we need to have an ice cream making party, stat.

    Question: What is Earth Balance?

Sorry should have clarified! Earth balance is a vegan spread: http://www.earthbalancenatural.com/
